The Hora company was founded in 1951 by master violin maker Roman Boianciuc, who first started violin making in the town of Reighin in northern Romania. Since then, this town has been inevitably linked to the production of musical instruments and today there are many companies operating in this field. However, even after many years, Hora is the largest and most important of these, and is even the largest and oldest manufacturer of stringed instruments and guitars in Europe. Nowadays, the company's excellent reputation has already spread all over the world and its instruments are valued especially for their professional quality and traditional manufacturing processes. Handmade by skilled craftsmen and meticulous quality control is a matter of course with these instruments.

For the production of its instruments, the company uses maple and spruce wood, which is gently harvested in the Romanian Carpathians and then left to mature naturally for 5-10 years. In addition, you will also find exotic woods such as mahogany, rosewood and ebony on the instruments. The finished instruments are then finished with a natural water-based lacquer, which is not only eco-friendly, but also gives the instruments a uniquely clear and powerful sound.

These violins belong to the Symphony Professional series and are especially suitable for professional players looking for a truly high quality instrument. Its top is made of select Carpathian spruce, while the back, neck and sides of the instrument are made of beautifully flamed maple. The soundboard and fingerboard are made of ebony, and the stringers from the German company Wittner are fitted with four precision tuners. The French-type fingerboard is made by the renowned Despiau company.

To naturally accentuate the great sound of the instrument, high-quality Danish Jargar strings are used.
