The body of the GNc 2-SW is constructed with a solid AA-grade Sitka spruce front plate and black walnut back and sides. The combination of these materials gives the instrument a nice natural look and a pleasant melodic sound, which is supported by the open-pore finish and individual tuning of the soundboard.
The attachment of the mahogany neck to the Furch CNR System body increases its strength, stability and durability. A transparent pickguard protects the soundboard while not affecting its resonance. The strings are held in Furch Classical Nickel tuning machines with a 1:16 gear ratio and an ebony fingerboard. The nice workmanship is accentuated by decorative elements in the form of a rosette made of a double ring with black walnut inlay or faux tortoiseshell binding.
At the customer's request, the guitar can be fitted with L.R. Baggs electronics. For more information on price and model of electronics, please contact our customer service line or our in-store specialists.
Few Czech products have such a worldwide reputation as Furch guitars. The company started in 1981 in one of the many garages of socialist Czechoslovakia, still illegal at the time. Today, the company's acoustic guitars are played by Suzanne Vega, Glen Hansard, David Knopfler, Aneta Langerová, David Koller, Xavier Baumaxa and many others. Furch guitars are best advertised by their reputation.
