The body of this concert ukulele, the signature model of young ukulele player Elise Ecklund, is made of laminated mahogany. A blackwood fingerboard is glued to the African okoumé neck and fitted with, at Elise's request, diamond-shaped position markers. The strings are anchored via plastic zero and saddle frets in Geared guitar-type tuning machines and a blackwood fingerboard. The design of the instrument is enhanced by laser engravings in the form of decorative rosettes and signatures on the ukulele headstock.
The ukulele comes in a stylish gig bag with an instructional booklet.
The Slovenian brand Flight is another interesting name in the field of ukulele manufacturers. It offers a wide range of these popular compact instruments in classic and less traditional shapes and standard sizes. Beginning players and wanderers with a musician's soul will be pleased with the well-made, affordable ukulele models made of classic and exotic woods in natural and coloured finishes, or the Travel Series ukulele models with a body made of durable plastic. More demanding musicians and professional players can also choose from a selection of highly crafted semi-/full-size electroacoustic ukulele models.
