Fender's new Vintera series combines the words Vintage and Era, but manages to combine period authenticity, modern elements and premium build quality just as successfully. Vintera replaces the popular Mexican Classic Series, but fans of the Classic Series will be pleased to know that the new instruments in the current series represent a welcome evolution and a step in the right direction. Choose from models from the 50s, 60s and 70s, each offering period-specific features. From period neck profiles, to decade-specific inspired hardware, Tim Shaw-designed pickups, to a wide selection of tonewoods - some unused for years, some brand new. The Vintera series are truly vintage instruments for a new era.

Inspired by the 1960s, this Jazz Bass model features a maple neck with a period Thin C profile, vintage frets and urethane lacquer finish in addition to an alder body with a glossy polyester finish. The four-ply tortoiseshell pickguard catches the eye at first glance, while equally important features include a synthetic bone fretboard, a four-stone fingerboard and a pair of single-coil pickups with simple controls that still give you precise control over the sound settings. The bass comes in a Fender Deluxe Gig Bag that will take you on many a trip to the gig or rehearsal room.
