The Precision Bass, Fender's first electric bass model, was introduced in 1951. It was therefore the first ever mass-produced electric bass. The "PB" earned the name "Precision" because, unlike double basses, the fingerboard was roasted - bassists could play with more "precision". In addition, it offered a more concrete and crisp tone. This model has gone through a long evolution over the last few decades and today you can find it in the hands of bassists from blues to R&B to rock.

The body of this bass is made of poplar, the neck is made of maple lacquered with a glossy urethane lacquer. The radius of the maple fingerboard is measured at 9.5 inches, the width of the zero fret is 42.8 mm, the neck's menstruation corresponds to 864 mm, its profile is C-type and it features 20 Narrow Tall frets.

The instrument is equipped with one single coil pickup, namely the Fender Designed Alnico Split-Coil model. You can adjust the sound using the volume and tone potentiometers.

The strings are anchored in the headstock with four steel stones. On the other side of the instrument, you'll find Vintage Style tuning machines, which make tuning stability truly maximum. The hardware is nickel and on the body you will find a four-layer pickguard. The zero fret is made of real bone. The bass is strung with Fender NPS strings from .045 - .105 gauge.

The Squier Classic Vibe 60s Precision Bass is a great instrument for those who demand the classic sound and feel of a Precision Bass, but don't want to invest in more expensive originals. Its qualities make it appreciated by both beginners and advanced players.
