Fender Player Series electric basses replace the popular Standard models. This is the brand's basic quality line with a clear plus in the form of price/quality ratio. Although these are not US-Made basses (they are made in Ensenada, Mexico), they are also subject to comprehensive output control.

The Player Plus Active Series models are then designed to be as adaptable as possible to the needs of modern players, while retaining the traditional design and features that have made Fender instruments so popular. The body of this Precision Bass is made from proven alder, which combined with the maple neck and fingerboard provides a traditional feel and excellent resonance. The neck is profiled as a comfortable modern C with a satin lacquer finish and rounded edges, and a sure hand on the fingerboard is supported by Medium Jumbo frets that are ideal for the vast majority of playing styles.

The body and neck materials are also well matched by the pair of PJ Alnico pickups, with the punchy and clearly defined sound that makes Fender basses so popular. Then there's the switchable active circuit, which, in addition to traditional volume and pickup balance controls, also gives you a three-band EQ that gives the instrument even more sonic flexibility.
