The Fender Paramount PB-180E is an open-back electroacoustic banjo with a traditional design. It is a more affordable model suitable for both experienced banjo players and beginners.
The body of the banjo is made of laminated mahogany, to which an 11-inch Remo Fiberskyn bell is attached by means of twenty-four hooks and a pressure ring. The neck is also mahogany. The walnut fingerboard is divided by twenty-two frets and decorative snowflake-shaped position markers. The strings are anchored via a bone zero fret in chrome Die-Cast Planetary-type mechanics and via an ebony fingerboard set on a maple base in the stringers. The styling is accentuated by the armrest and nickel hardware.
A Fishman passive pickup offers sound reinforcement. The banjo is supplied in a gig bag.
