The 1964 Jaguar Journeyman Relic Faded Aged Lake Placid Blue electric guitar from the Fender Custom Shop brings back the best of Fender's mid-'60s "offset" design.
The body of the guitar is made from two pieces of alder. The Journeyman Relic finish, with a Relic Faded Aged Lake Placid Blue color scheme, offers elements of faux patina to match decades of common, rather domestic use. A maple neck with a pleasing '62-style "C" profile is glued to a 3A-quality rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Narrow Tall (6105) frets.
Two Custom Shop '62 Jaguar pickups take care of the instrument's voicing. Traditionally, Jaguar instruments include electronics with two circuits (Lead and Rhythm) - in the former, both pickups are active and the character of the sound can be adjusted using standard potentiometers, in the Rhythm circuit only the neck pickup is active and its sound can be adjusted using two rotary knobs (dials) Volume and Tone. Further sound corrections (pickup switching and bass-cut ) are made possible by three two-position switches.
The strings are mounted in the company's vintage-style tuning machines and vintage-style floating tremolo. The stylish finish is accentuated by a three-ply pickguard in Mint Green and a color-coordinated headstock and body ( Aged Lake Placid Blue ).
The guitar comes in a case with a strap and certificate of authenticity.
