The EC-1000 electric guitars with the characteristic rock LP body shape are part of the LTD Deluxe series, which represents the best of LTD production. The sound, design, craftsmanship and playability of the instruments in this series fully stand up to comparison with more expensive "high-end" guitars.
The mahogany body of the EC-1007B EVERTUNE BLACK seven-string guitar with a maple top is decorated with black lacquer and contrasting bright trim. A three-piece mahogany neck with a set-thru construction, i.e. the neck is recessed deeper into the body, is joined by an Ebony Macassar fingerboard fitted with twenty-four Extra Jumbo stainless steel frets. The fretboard radius flattens towards the body - allowing both comfortable riffing at the zero fret and comfortable ultra-fast shred at higher positions. The longer baritone menorah helps the guitar with tuning stability even at higher tunings.
Two active Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers with ceramic and Alnico magnets give the guitar a great dynamic sound (without any accompanying noise) with precise articulation of individual notes/chords and a good amount of punch/aggressiveness when needed. The pickups can be switched between via a three-position switch, and the push/pull function of the volume knob allows you to switch between voicings - the guitar's sonic arsenal is much wider than it might at first appear.
Stable tuning and quick string changes are guaranteed by the LTD locking mechanism and Evertune model F tailpiece, which compensates for string tension during plucking and sharper playing, ensuring the guitar stays in tune in all conditions. The stylish workmanship is accentuated by gold hardware.
