Electric guitar ESP LTD AS-1FRFM BLKAQSB is the signature model of guitarist Alex Skolnick, known for his work in the thrash metal band Testament, but also for his completely different direction in the jazz trio Alex Skolnick Trio or side fusion projects like Attention Deficit.

The mahogany body of this single-cut model is adorned with a flamed maple top with a nice wood grain. Glued to the glued mahogany neck composed of three pieces of mahogany with a traditional U profile is a pau ferro fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Extra Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by mother-of-pearl position blocks.

The combination of Seymour Duncan's JB (B) and '59 (N) humbuckers provides the sound with a balanced balance of aggression and warmth, as well as the necessary fullness, dynamics and precise articulation for singing solos or chord breakdowns. The guitar can thus be used in a wide range of genres, not just metal and rock. Two volume potentiometers (for each pickup separately), a tone shutter and a three-position pickup switch are used to adjust the sound. The Push/Pull tone shutter function allows you to split the coils of the pickups to combine the humbucker sound with a single-coil or set a pure single-coil character.

The strings are housed in Grover's high-quality tuning machines and a Floyd Rose double-turn tremolo, which you can use to add impressive sound effects to your playing. Locks on the zero fret ensure maximum tuning stability even with frequent use of the lever. The guitar's refined look is accentuated by a glossy Black Aqua Sunburst body finish, shiny chrome hardware, bright binding and a signature company logo on the headstock.

The guitar comes in a case with Dunlop branded strap locks.
