The Epiphone Hummingbird Pro is a more affordable alternative to the famous Gibson Hummingbird. It is a classic "Square Shoulder" Dreadnought of semi-massive construction, with a solid spruce top complemented by a mahogany fingerboard and back. Glued to the mahogany neck with SlimTaper D profile is a pau ferro fingerboard fitted with twenty frets. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by position blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl in correct Hummingbird design (Pearloid Twin Parallelograms).
The strings are anchored via the Graph Tech zero fret in Grover Rotomatics tuning machines with a gear ratio of 18:1 and a pau ferro headstock. The nice workmanship is accentuated by the details in the form of double-sided ivory body binding with black lines, rosette composed of black and white rings and the signature Hummingbird elements in the form of decorative pickguard with obligatory hummingbird and sunburst (Faded Cherry) top color treatment.
The guitar's sound system is provided by Fishman Sonitone electronics with a Sonicore sub-coil pickup and Volume and Tone controls discreetly placed in the instrument's soundhole.
