Epiphone electric guitars are a more affordable alternative to the original Gibson logo guitars. The Epiphone Prophecy line turns to the present instead of the past, offering modern instruments in classic LP, SG, Flying V and Extura/Explorer body designs that embrace the year of manufacture and trends in guitar design.
The mahogany body of the Flying V Prophecy Aged Jet Black Metallic "V" is covered by a veneer of AAA-quality flamed maple. The asymmetrical Slim Taper profile of the mahogany neck provides the left hand with the comfort needed to move easily and quickly on the fingerboard. The ebony fingerboard itself is fitted with twenty-four jumbo-sized frets. Orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by position blocks with embedded pieces of genuine mother-of-pearl (Abalone).
Custom-made Fishman Fluence humbuckers offer three different sound settings via push/pull volume potentiometers and tone controls - the warm tone of a vintage PAF humbucker, the modern sound of active humbuckers with higher output signal, and the optimized sound of single-coil pickups.
The strings are anchored via a NuBone zero fret in Grover Locking Rotomatics locking mechanisms and a LockTone TOM tailpiece and stringers. The nice workmanship is accentuated by the Aged Gloss finish, bright peripheral banding on the body, fingerboard and headstock, and brushed nickel hardware.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
