Sibling to the Gibson EB-2, which was made in the same Kalamazoo, Michigan (USA) factory from virtually the same parts, the Epiphone Rivoli features only a different headstock and a different pickguard. The Epiphone brand had been owned by Gibson for several years by the time this instrument was made (1966).
The 30.5" short-menu bass is made of maple plywood (body), mahogany (neck) and rosewood (fingerboard). The sound is transmitted by a humbucker in the neck position.
The instrument is in excellent and almost original condition. The mechanics of the D string are repaired, a small metal part of the string damper is missing; 2 small holes are recessed in the body; the lacquer from the "E" mark on the pickguard is worn off. Overall, the bass is full of patina and naturally cracked lacquer. In addition to the collector's access, this bass can be fully played; we have stretched the smoothed strings for added 60's authenticity.
The original case is included. Bazaar mode VAT.
