The X500 Menace guitar is one of the best of the X series. It is an instrument made for the production of metal music, which will certainly not put you to shame on stage - on the contrary. Behind the sharply sculpted contours of the matte black Super ST body lies a construction consisting of mahogany wings, a solid maple top and a seven-piece maple, purpleheart and panga panga neck. Twenty-four frets divide the ebony fingerboard surface, that's all - no position markers. Not only fast players will be pleased with the combined radius of the fingerboard, which flattens towards the body - allowing comfortable playing of chord accompaniments and fast shred on higher pitches.
The proven combination of two passive Nazgul and Seymour Duncan Sentient humbuckers gives the guitar an aggressively dynamic, yet precisely articulated, sound, perfect for metal's fast riffing and equilibristic guitar solos. Volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used to adjust the sound. Strings are held in a Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-turn tremolo and Die-Cast tuning machines on a stylishly turned headstock. Tuning stability even with frequent use of the lever is ensured by locks on the zero fret.
