Cort's KX series is an electric guitar with a modern design. Thanks to their affordable price, they can certainly appeal to young aspirants of the rock craft, but they will not offend experienced, technically skilled players either.
Guitars with the KX designation belong to the higher models of the series. At first glance, they attract attention with their beautiful spalted maple top wood grain and spectacular colour finish. The body itself is made of mahogany. The bolted-on fast neck made of hard maple is joined by a fingerboard made of jatoba wood, also known as Brazilian cherry, fitted with twenty-four frets, orientation on its surface is facilitated by position dots with a raindrop design.
Two high-output EMG RetroActive humbuckers with the popular black and white "zebra" design give the guitar a thick, dynamic sound with clear tone articulation most appreciated in modern rock, metal and core genres. Volume potentiometers, tone controls, and a three-position pickup switch are used for sonic adjustments. The mounting of the strings in the solid fingerboard (six separate stones) and through the body of the instrument guarantees good sustain. Stability of tuning is guaranteed by chrome-plated mechanics.
