Cort's CEC classical electro-acoustic guitars offer the feel and features of acoustic guitars in the form of a narrower body with a lower cutaway, 45mm fret width and active electronics combined with the sound of nylon strings.
The body of the CEC1 OP is made from a spruce plywood top and a mahogany back and sides with an Open Pore finish. The instrument's narrower body (83 mm) will suit beginners and seasoned musicians alike. The mahogany neck is glued to a merbau fingerboard fitted with twenty-two frets. The lower body cutaway (Venetian Cutaway) offers a good match even at higher fingerboard positions. Traditional elements are complemented by a decorative rosette and black binding.
The guitar is equipped with the company's Cort CE304T preamp with volume control, three-band equalizer and built-in tuner.
