The wings on the body of the instrument are made of mahogany, the middle is made of maple and the top is made of Ovangkol wood. The body is very ergonomic thanks to its deep cutouts and provides maximum playing comfort even when playing in higher positions. The overall bright tone is further enhanced by a stable neck made of hard Canadian maple and a 24-fret Jatoba fingerboard.
The bass is fitted with two reliable Bartolini MK-1 pickups and combined with the MB-1 EQ active electronics, it forms a powerful unit. In addition to a potentiometer for adjusting the ratio between the pickups, the Markbass preamp features a three-band EQ, volume control and a switch between active and passive modes. This gives you a wide sonic spectrum that you can handle with ease in virtually any musical style.
The massive MetalCraft M headstock ensures perfect vibration transfer to the body, and also allows the sound of the individual strings to stand out. In addition, it allows the strings to both pass through the body and be attached to the soundboard, further expanding the tonal possibilities of the instrument.
