The A5 Beyond from the Artisan series features a through neck composed of five pieces of Maple and Panga Panga woods, a solid Ash body and a Bubinga top, which transfers the vibrations of the strings evenly to the body, resulting in a very specific and modern sound with an ideal ratio of bass, mids and treble. The single-sided cutaway improves the stability and balance of the instrument, providing maximum comfort when playing and easily accessible higher positions on the fingerboard.

The essential element of this bass is, of course, the multiscale fingerboard, which thanks to its bevelled frets offers a menzaura ranging from 864 to 902 millimetres. This system has many advantages, but the most important is the significant improvement in playing comfort, allowing a more natural movement of the hand on the fingerboard, as well as improved tuning stability.

Sound pickups are provided by a pair of high-quality pickups from the renowned Bartolini company. The bass offers both a passive mode, where the Master Volume and Blend controls are available to mix the sound of both pickups, and an active mode, where the tone can be adjusted using the three-band equalizer. This allows the instrument to produce a range of different sounds suitable for a variety of musical styles.

The strings are mounted in a split-stone fingerboard, which improves the articulation of the individual strings. Stable tuning is then ensured by high-quality mechanics from Hipshot, specifically Ultralite models, which have a lower weight compared to traditional mechanics. This improves not only the precision of tuning, but also the overall balance of the instrument.
