An angry driver behind the wheel of a motor vehicle usually does not bode well. However, if it appears in your pedalboard in the form of an Angry Driver guitar overdrive/distortion effect, then definitely don't run away.
It's a box created in cooperation between two traditional companies Boss and JHS. Its compact body houses two well-known pedals of the mentioned brands, namely BD-2 Blues Driver and Angry Charlie, known for their subtle distortion ideal for singing blues tones, respectively for a clear distortion sound based on the characteristics of Marshall JCM 800. The result is a guitar effect brimming with a breadth of sounds, and it's up to you whether you want to add more rock aggression to the Blues Driver or soften the tone of the Angry Charlie pedal.
The control of the effect meets the demands for maximum functionality and, as far as possible, simplicity. By adjusting the six-position Mode dial, you can use the aforementioned overdrive pedals individually, or combine their sounds in series/parallel. Three dual potentiometers for Level, Tone and Drive allow separate parameter settings for each type of overdrive. Using the Remote input, an expression pedal or footswitch can be connected to the box.
Angry Driver operates in Buffered Bypass mode. The box is powered by a 9 Volt battery or adapter. An alkaline battery is included.
