Basic pocket studio for guitarists

The BOSS MICRO BR BR-80 is an indispensable portable recording and jamming device for guitarists and other musicians, small enough to fit in your pocket. It features three modes so you can create, record and play back your music: an eight-track MTR (Multi-Track Recorder) mode; eBand mode with backing tracks for practicing phrases; and Live Rec mode for instantly capturing high-quality stereo recordings. You can even combine these three modes. For example, record a phrase of your idea in Live Rec mode, then import the recording into MTR mode and use it as the basis for a new song. After recording the tracks, you can import the finished song into eBand mode as a backing track for your lineup. Every musician will appreciate the BR-80!

A complete studio on the go

Don't let its size fool you - this little studio is fully equipped! MTR (Multi-Track Recorder) mode offers 64 V-track with eight tracks of simultaneous playback. In addition to a special stereo rhythm track, you have a whole library of great grooves to choose from. Intuitive controls follow the tradition of the easy-to-use popular BOSS BR series with a graphic design that respects the layout of a conventional recorder. With EQ, reverb, a suite of mastering tools, renowned COSM amplifiers and effects for guitar, bass and vocals, the BR-80 is ready for easy creation of complete professional-quality recordings.

Virtual band

The BR-80's eBand mode offers musicians a fun way to play along with their favorite songs. In the eBand Song List Editor software, you can import CD, MP3 and WAV audio files from your computer via USB. The Center Cancel function can be used to minimize the volume of recorded vocals and solo parts if you want to play or sing them yourself for fun. The eBand mode is also an excellent practice partner, as it allows you to record your playing and adjust the playback speed and pitch as needed.

Built-in stereo microphone

The BR-80's Live Rec mode, combined with the top-of-the-line stereo condenser microphones, allows you to record the perfect stereo recording at any time. Record vocals, guitar parts and song ideas the moment they come to mind. Recorded audio files are then easily imported into the MTR BR-80's MTR mode, where they serve as the basis for multi-track song production.

High quality multi-effects

The BR-80 is equipped with professional multi-effects processed by a newly developed custom DSP chip. Over 40 types of COSM amp models offer instant access to a wide variety of thick guitar and bass sounds. Preset patches allow both beginners and professionals to work with high-quality sounds immediately, while experienced users can play with the parameters in fine detail to make final adjustments to the sound. Special vocal effects, comparable to the popular BOSS VE-20, including doubling, harmonic effects, pitch correction and more.
