The Blackstar Dept. 10 Amped 1 is a 100-watt guitar amp in a compact pedalboard format that turns your effects and multi-effects pedalboard into a full-featured guitar rig. With power switching up to one watt (100W/20W/1W) and a USB-C interface, you'll enjoy the services of this pedalboard in the studio and at gigs.
The amp offers three switchable channels, with the USA delivering the clean, dynamic and bright sound with the solid bass bottom end of mid-60s American machines, the UK offering the low to medium gain sound and feel of popular early 60s British Class A tube amps, and the FLAT neutral response great for working with external preamps and modelers/profilers. The FLAT channel is ideal to use in combination with the Linear end amp setup - the Response section of the poweramp's controller in addition offers five different virtual end tubes (KT88, 6L6, EL34, 6V6, EL84) with true to the response, dynamics and break-up characteristics of the selected tubes.
The Blackstar Dept. 10 Amped 1 easily integrates into your pedalboard with an effects loop, two 9V DC outputs and MIDI compatibility. Four-channel USB audio with low latency and XLR DI is available for connection to your home/studio DAW or mixer. Other highlights include a footswitchable Preset function, built-in studio-quality reverb with "freeze" effect, line/headphone outputs, external speaker outputs with 8 and 16 ohm impedance, or the newly developed Cab Rig DSP speaker simulation, which is capable of reproducing the sound and feel of professionally voiced guitar speakers. More advanced Cab Rig DSP simulation editing options (cabinets, microphones, microphone positions, virtual rooms) are offered by the Architect software, which is freely downloadable.
The amplifier can be used anywhere in the world as long as the specifications match the 100V to 240V ~ 50/60Hz range. Included in the package is a TRS MIDI to 5 pin MIDI adapter, a USB-C cable, and an effects loop cable splitter.
