The guitar's solid red cedar soundboard is complemented by solid mahogany on the back and sides. This combination of woods gives the guitar a warm response in the bass and mids and nicely articulated highs. The mahogany neck with its asymmetrical profile and walnut bracing and the ebony fingerboard with rounded fingerboard and fretboard edges give you maximum comfort when playing. The lower cutout of the body (Venetian) makes it easier to play at the higher positions of the fingerboard.
The active electronics of the L.R. Baggs Anthem use a combination of microphone sound sensing (patented Tru.Mic technology) and a sub-cabinet pickup, which guarantees authentic reproduction of the instrument's acoustic sound and low microphonics, i.e. susceptibility to feedback. The controls are discreetly housed in the instrument's soundhole.
The strings are mounted in die-cast mechanics in gold finish with ebony pegs and ebony fingerboard over the TusQ zero and saddle frets. The nice workmanship is accentuated by maple position markers on the fingerboard, walnut binding and a rosette composed of maple and walnut rings.
The guitar comes in a high-quality case (Cort Deluxe Soft-Side Case) that combines the best features of cases with the practicality of padded gig-bags.
