The hand-customized 100W EVH 5150III 100S Head Black three-channel tube guitar amplifier matches the specifications of the guitar Eddie Van Halen played at the end of his musical career. The three channels offer crystal clear clean channel tones as well as all the sonic shades of "brown sound", i.e. super-heavy crunch/overdrive to high-gain distortion, which you can basically get to on the second channel - it's just a 5150. You set the desired sound using the separate controls for each channel - the Volume, Gain, three-band EQ and Presence and Resonance endpoint controls.
The rear panel offers an effects loop, two speaker outputs with selectable impedance (4, 8, 16 ohms), a 6.3 mm jack preamp out line output, a bias adjustment control, and a jack for the included four-pin footswitch (channel and effects loop switching). The stylish look is accentuated by the black textured vinyl cover.
