This dreadnought guitar follows the traditional models that Sigma Guitars produced in its early days in the 1970s. Today's modernized and electrified version catches the eye at first glance with its Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish, ornate pickguard, and distinctive body and neck binding.
The semi-massive body is composed of a solid Sitka spruce front and sides and a laminated mahogany back. The proven combination of woods is complemented by a mahogany neck with a micarta composite fingerboard and, as is commonplace with Sigma guitars, the zero and saddle frets are made from real bone. This gives the guitar great intonation and rich reverb. Precision Grover chrome-plated tuning machines are used for tuning.
The guitar is equipped with a piezo pickup and an unobtrusive Fishman Sonitone preamplifier, which is located in the soundhole. A two-band equalizer provides control over the resulting sound.
The guitar comes in a soft case.
