The construction of the SLX DX CHECKERED PAST consists of a nyatoh wood body and a through-molded maple neck with graphite bracing. This design has a positive effect on the sustain of the instrument. The fig fingerboard is fitted with twenty-four jumbo frets. Its radius flattens towards the body - allowing both comfortable riff playing at the zero fret and comfortable ultra-fast shred in higher positions. Position markers made of imitation mother-of-pearl in Sharkfin design make it easy to navigate the fingerboard surface.
Two proprietary humbuckers with ceramic magnets and a high output signal give the guitar the juicy sound much needed in metal and rock music. Volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used for sonic adjustments. The strings are housed in the company's Die-Cast tuning machines and a Floyd Rose Special double-reverse tremolo, which you can use to add impressive sound effects to your playing. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by the Checkered Past body and headstock color scheme and black hardware.
For several decades now, electric guitars from the American brand Jackson have been appealing mainly to musicians from metal, metal/core, HC or djent bands who prefer a loud sound with a more or less diluted dose of aggression, as evidenced by the company's list of players.
