In the 1980s, Gibson closed its longtime factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to move production to Nashville, Tennessee. Some of the guitar makers refused to move with their families and became part of the newly formed Heritage brand, which translates to "heritage", and it was the rich guitar-making tradition that the brand simply built upon.
Big jazz models, including this particular Super Eagle with an 18" body, are the main thing the Heritage brand prides itself on.
The instrument is in near original condition, overall in great shape. The guitar now has Gibson 57 Classic pickups installed, the original pickups are included in the case. There is an approx 5cm crack at the bottom knob on the soundboard, which is quite common with solid wood soundboards.
The guitar is sold including the original case under the BAZAR VAT regime.
