The body of the AW247CE-OPN Dreadnought electro-acoustic guitar is made of okoumé - the front board is solid wood, the back board and sides are made of laminated okoumé. The exotic nyatoh wood neck is glued to a 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard. White position dots make it easy to navigate the fingerboard surface. An interesting feature is the wider neck (48 mm fret), which may particularly suit players used to the dimensions of classical guitars.
The strings are mounted in the company's chrome Die-Cast gears with an 18:1 gear ratio and an ovangkol fingerboard. Ibanez Advantage pegs offer advantages over standard models in terms of ease of handling and firm string attachment. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by traditional elements in the form of a pearl rosette (Abalone) and a pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell.
The instrument's sound system is provided by an Ibanez T-bar pickup and an AEQ-TP2 preamp with a two-band EQ and built-in tuner. The signal from the guitar can be output via a standard instrument cable (Jack 6.3 mm) or XLR output.
