Headless electric guitars from the Q (Quest) series represent a completely new concept within the Japanese brand Ibanez. In addition to the headless design, it offers a variety of features, i.e. a lightweight ergonomically shaped body, R1 and Q58 pickups specially developed for the Q series and mechanics (String Lock, Mono-Tune) that maximize the instrument's sound quality and playing comfort.
The body of the Q547-BMM seven-string model is made of nyatoh wood. A five-piece neck made of heat-treated (or if you prefer, baked) maple and exotic bubinga is glued to a fingerboard made of grafted maple (also heat-treated) fitted with twenty-four Jescar EVO Gold frets. Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by pearl position and side luminescent dots.
A Q58 humbucker and two R1 single-coils developed specifically for the needs of headless guitars give the instrument a clearly defined sound balanced across the entire frequency spectrum. The dyna-MIX 9 pickup switching system (five-position blade switch and two-position alter switch) offers nine different pickup connection options, including split humbucker coils or single-coil series connection.
Strings are anchored in a one-piece String Lock mechanism for easy and quick string changes and separate Mono-Tune pickups.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
