TAYLOR 224ce DLX LTD

The Taylor 224ce DLX LTD is a limited-edition electroacoustic guitar with Taylor's original Grand Auditorium body design, whose qualities you'll appreciate when playing with a pick and finger technique. The body of the guitar is made of American ash (Urban Ash) obtained from urban trees to be cut down - the front board of solid ash, back board and sides of laminated ash. Sonically, Urban Ash can be compared to Honduran mahogany, offering a clean tone with a more pronounced profile in the mids and almost zero overtones/aliquots.

Glued to the maple neck is an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty frets and position markers in the shape of small diamonds. A subtle rounded lower body cutaway (Venetian Cutaway) facilitates touch-up on the higher positions of the fingerboard. The strings are held in Taylor gold-finished mechanics and an ebony fingerboard over a micarta saddle and NuBone fretboard. The stylish look is accentuated by traditional elements in the form of a rosette, bright body binding and a pickguard in imitation tortoiseshell.

Sound pickup is handled by the Taylor Expression System 2. This is a completely unique pickup method that takes the possibilities of realistic sound reproduction to unprecedented dimensions. Three specially designed independent piezoelectric pickups located behind the fingerboard are used for pickups. Unlike conventional pickups, they do not sense the up and down movement of the board, but the natural back and forth vibration of the grasshopper seat. This makes the sound much more natural, colourful and pleasing, and more responsive to the dynamics of your playing. At the same time, the new preamp makes the signal 25% stronger. Of course, feedback is eliminated and you can adjust the volume, bass and treble.

The American company Taylor is famous for producing acoustic guitars that are very well crafted and offer a top sound. The instruments in the 200 series are made in a factory in Tecate, Mexico, but that doesn't detract from the quality. Tecate is only a few dozen kilometres away from EL Cajon in California, so production is properly controlled.
