The body of the Grand Auditorium PRS SE A20 Angelus is made of mahogany - solid wood front, plywood back and sides. The acoustic qualities of the instrument are accentuated by the hybrid X/classical ribbing, which holds the back and sides firmly in place while allowing the soundboard to vibrate freely.
Glued to the Wide Fat mahogany neck is an ebony fingerboard inlaid with "trademark PRS" position markers in the shape of bird silhouettes. Tuning stability is guaranteed by the attachment of the strings via the zero and saddle bone frets in the company's tuning machines and ebony fingerboard. The beautiful workmanship is accentuated by the double-sided cream body binding and the herringbone rosette.
Sound reinforcement is provided by a Fishman Sonitone preamp optimised specifically for PRS guitars, with an underdrive pickup and volume and EQ controls discreetly set into the soundhole. The guitar comes in a gig bag.
PRS acoustic and electroacoustic guitars with SE marking are made in China. However, you don't have to worry about the quality of the instruments - production standards and careful output control are a matter of course.
