The Chapman ML1 Modern Red Sea from the Standard Series is a rock guitar that will be at home in a variety of musical styles. The mahogany body of the instrument is adorned with a spectacular flamed maple top veneer and a nice color finish on the top. A bolt-on maple neck with a pleasing C profile is glued to a macassar ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-four jumbo-sized nickel frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by front and side pearl dots. Playing comfort is guaranteed by the rounded edges of the fingerboard, shaped lower body cutout, shaped neck foot for easy hand movement even at the highest positions of the fingerboard and a practical tummy/belly cut.
Two of Chapman's signature Sonorous Zero humbuckers give the guitar the sonic drive it needs. Their coils can be "tapped" with the push/pull tone control to get a single-coil sound as well. This makes the guitar a versatile choice for many musical genres. Tuning stability and good sustain are guaranteed by the anchoring of the strings through the Grapth Tech TusQ zero fret in the company's 18:1 ratio gears and a solid bridge with string attachment through the body.
