S.L.P. drum kits are based on the concept of the Sound Lab Project series of snare drums, which have become very popular around the world thanks to their wide range of sound characteristics. Like snare drums, each S.L.P. drum kit has its sound and specifications carefully selected so that the chosen configuration benefits from the particular body material.
The LKP42HTS-GKP drum set's drum bodies are made from exotic Asian Kapur wood - specifically the bass drum from seven 6mm thick layers, the toms and floor tom from six 5mm thick layers. This material has recently entered the consciousness of many drummers for its open and lively sound with great projection and rich character. For these sonic qualities combined with its distinctive attack, it is very popular in funk, fusion and jazz, and is also great for rock, thanks to its high volume.
The set also features Sound Arc Hoops rims, Evans G1 Coated tubes and a double tom holder. The Star-Mount System with four-point attachment helps increase the resonance of the drums.
