There's a 14" snare, 10" rack tom, 14" floor tom and 20" bass drum, built with full-depth wooden bodies that add authenticity to the kit and give the right acoustic feel. Additional cymbals include a 14" VH-Hi-Hat, a 14" crash cymbal (with a thin profile and textured surface) and an 18" ride cymbal, resulting in unsurpassed playability and a natural look on stage.

The digital snare drum and ride cymbal pads connect to the TD-27 module via USB cables and, together with the sound processor, provide the most natural expression that will make your skills shine through. With multiple pickups and lightning-fast processing, you get amazing response that lets you use real technique in the most natural way. Subtle snares, rim shots, cross sticks, all of this is precisely recorded and translated on the snare drum, while the ride cymbal offers a wide range of tones and the ability to subtly mute the sound through the body or midrange.

Roland's legendary mesh bellows with adjustable tension contribute greatly to the authentic and natural feel of your playing, giving you the ability to tailor the bounce to your individual style. And when you strike the hammer on a specially designed kick, air physically moves inside the body, creating pressure and resistance remarkably similar to the experience of playing an acoustic kick.

Roland's unique Prismatic Sound Modelling technology is then applied to these, bringing them to life with modelling honed over more than two decades. When you strike a drum or cymbal, you're not just triggering a stored sound - you're playing a fully-fledged instrument that responds in every aspect just like its acoustic counterpart, leaving you with an unrivalled range of sounds at your fingertips.
Create and customize your unique kit
With acoustic drums, you create your own sound by changing the type of blanks, adjusting the tuning, dampening, adjusting the string tension, changing the hammer on the kick drum, and so on. With the TD-27 module, all of this is possible and you can create special kits for any situation. Just select the pad with a swipe, then use the manual controls and intuitive editing tools to create the sound you want. Plus, your edits are automatically saved so you can always focus on playing. You can even record your own samples, layering them on top of the internal sounds for an even more individual kit.
Double-braced chrome stands
The way acoustic drums and cymbals are mounted not only affects their classic look, but also the feel of the playing experience. The tom pads are mounted on the same stands as the acoustic toms, so they feel absolutely perfect when struck. V-Cymbals' newly developed thin cymbals also attach to the stands with a special grip, providing a natural classic acoustic-style "swing". Each stand also features double bracing for unshakable stability and is easy to adjust to create your desired layout.
PureAcoustic Ambience Technology

The MIDI standard is also supported via USB and a dedicated interface, so you can connect to other MIDI devices and trigger sounds in computer programs.
