The Grand Pacific Custom AD17e electro-acoustic guitar from the limited series is the closest in specifications to the Dreadnought Round-Shoulder models. Its soundboard is made of solid spruce, while the back and sides are made of solid ovangkol. The patented V-Class ribbing improves the guitar's performance in three aspects - increasing the instrument's volume, extending sustain and improving intonation.
The mahogany neck is glued to a eucalyptus fingerboard. The same material is also used for the headstock and headplate. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by positional dots made of imitation mother-of-pearl. The strings are mounted in the company's nickel mechanics. The guitar is equipped with high-quality company electronics. The Taylor Expression System 2 uses three specially designed independent piezo pickups located behind the fingerboard.
