British brand Tanglewood introduces more affordable acoustic guitars in retro and modern designs.
The Tanglewood TW15 R SD VS E is a full-massage electro-acoustic guitar of the Dreadnought Slope Shoulder type, i.e. a Dreadnought with rounder shoulders. The front of the instrument is made of cedar, while the back and sides are made of mahogany, which is a time-tested combination of woods - the solid construction will make the guitar more playable over time. A rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets is glued to the African mahogany neck. Positioning on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by imitation mother-of-pearl position dots.
The strings are caught in Grover tuning machines with 18:1 gear ratio and rosewood fingerboard. The nice workmanship is accentuated by the double-sided bright body binding, rosette composed of black and white rings and rosewood veneer on the headstock decorated with mother of pearl company logo.
Sound reinforcement options include an LR Baggs Stagepro Element active preamp in the guitar's bellows with a three-band EQ, integrated tuner, notch filter for feedback suppression and a phase reversal button.
