British brand Tanglewood introduces more affordable acoustic guitars in retro and modern designs. The dreadnought TW1000 H SRCE from the Heritage series is one of the best of the range.
The guitar's soundboard is made of solid AAA quality Engelmann spruce, while the back and sides are made of solid rosewood. The soundboard is adorned with an ivory fretboard trim with herringbone inlay and a rosette consisting of ivory and mother-of-pearl rings. An ebony fingerboard is glued to the mahogany neck. Position markers make it easy to navigate its surface, while the lower body cutout offers a comfortable fingerboard even at higher fretboard positions.
Sound reinforcement options include Fishman Presys Blend electronics with a three-band equalizer and built-in tuner. The strings are held in tuning machines (Gold Waverly) and an ebony fingerboard via a bone fretboard and saddle. The nice workmanship is accentuated by the glossy lacquer top, gold hardware and a handy pickguard that protects the instrument's glossy lacquer from scratches.
