The body of the Super ST model GRG121SP-BMC is made of poplar. The "baked" maple neck is glued to a jatoba fingerboard with twenty-four Medium-sized frets. Orientation on its surface is traditionally facilitated by white position dots.
Two Classic Elite passive humbuckers with ceramic magnets give the guitar a rich tone with a thick bass bottom end. Standard adjustments can be made using the volume potentiometers, tone shutter and five-position toggle switch (position 2 plays only the inner neck pickup coil, position 4 the inner neck pickup coil and the outer pickup coil).
The strings are anchored in the company's tuning machines and the company's T106 tremolo with six separate saddles. Many will also appreciate the mono-unit output jack made from a single piece of durable material, thus avoiding the usual effect of individual parts coming loose and losing contact.
