The Line6 Catalyst two-channel guitar combos offer the design and sound of traditional guitars, but also the expanded sonic capabilities and features of modern modeling combos and amplifiers.
The Catalyst 200 is a guitar combo with a maximum output of 200 watts and the ability to attenuate the power to half (100W), room volume (0.5W) or full mute. The combo can be used on almost any size stage, but also in the studio. Within the channels, you can choose from six original HX technology-based amp designs/models - offering a full range of guitar sounds from clean to chime/crunch to hi-gain. Adjust the character of the tone
with the three-band EQ and Presence knob, and adjust the Boost knob to determine the amount of gain/buck. The combo's effects processor is not far behind, with six reverb effects and eighteen more delay, modulation and pitch effects. A tap tempo function and built-in tuner are standard.
The rear panel offers a balanced XLR output, an effects loop for integrating external pedal effects, an input to the end amp (bypass preamp) for use with pedal preamps/simulations, an Aux In input, a headphone output, a MIDI 5-pin DIN connector and a USB interface that lets you connect the combo to Catalyst Edit software or record to your DAW (4 channels in 24-bit, 44.1/48kHz quality). More advanced editing options are offered by the aforementioned freely available Catalyst Edit app/software (PC, Mac, iOS, Android).
At the heart of the cabinet are two 12-inch custom speakers. The LFS2 dual-channel footswitch, which can be used to switch between channels or activate effects, is not included.
