The Blackstar CV10 is an all-amp guitar combo designed by Carmen Vandenberg, guitarist of the Grammy-nominated British band Bones UK, who also contributed to Jeff Beck's Loud Hailer album. Each limited edition Blackstar combo comes with a certificate of authenticity hand-signed by Carmen Vandenberg.
The combo's boutique design follows the signature CV30, while its specifications follow the 10-watt Studio 10 6L6 model. It offers a bright clean sound as well as dynamic singing rock crunch with the unmistakable American character of the 6L6 tail tube and ECC83 tube in the preamp. The combo's overdrive circuit is based on the award-winning HT-Drive pedal. Clear top-panel controls determine output volume, distortion level, tone colour/character and the proportion of the built-in reverb effect in the final sound, which you can still "kick" with the Drive button to give it more juice.
The rear panel offers a serial effects loop for integrating your favourite pedal effects, a footswitch output (a single channel switch activating the Boost function is included), outputs to external speakers (1x 16, 1x 8, 2x 16 Ohm) and a speaker emulation output where you can send the signal directly to a mixer, recording device or output to headphones.
At the heart of the cabinet is a 12-inch Celestion Seventy 80 speaker.
