The Sigma SDR-42 Nashville is a full-massage dreadnought-type electro-acoustic guitar from the higher-end Custom Guitars series that is sure to appeal to even the most demanding musicians with its craftsmanship, premium materials and playability.
The front of the guitar is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made of solid Indian rosewood. The combination of these woods guarantees a clear sound with warm bass and great dynamic response. An ebony fingerboard is glued to the mahogany neck, which is attached to the body with a Dovetail Neck Joint at the 14th fret as standard. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by decorative position markers.
The strings are mounted in Grover's gold open-coil mechanics with Butterbean pegs and an ebony fingerboard. The zero fret and compensated bone saddle ensure ideal vibration transfer of the strings. The fine workmanship is accentuated by the gloss black finish, double-sided body binding complemented by a mother-of-pearl top, backplate decoration, mother-of-pearl rosette and rich mother-of-pearl headstock decoration.
The guitar's sound is provided by an L.R. Baggs EAS-VTC preamp with an underdrive piezo pickup and Volume and Tone controls subtly placed in the instrument's soundhole. The guitar comes in a handy soft case.
