The SLA6 DX Baritone guitar, with its longer 673mm gauge, is the ideal instrument for playing properly heavy music where under-tuning or drop tuning is required. This is matched by the choice of pickups - a classic combination of EMG 81 and 85 active humbuckers.
The guitar's construction consists of nyatoh wood wings and a through-molded maple neck reinforced with graphite bracing. This design has a positive effect on the sustain of the instrument. The fig fingerboard is fitted with twenty-four jumbo frets. Its radius flattens towards the body - allowing both comfortable riff playing at the zero fret and comfortable ultra-fast shred in higher positions. Position markers made of imitation mother-of-pearl Piranha Tooth make it easy to navigate the fingerboard surface.
The character of the sound can be adjusted using the volume potentiometers, tone shutter and three-position pickup switch. The strings are mounted in the company's Die-Cast tuning machines and through a solid HT-6 bridge through the body of the guitar. The guitar's stylish finish is accentuated by black hardware.
For several decades, electric guitars of the American Jackson brand have appealed primarily to musicians from metal, metal/core, HC or djent bands who profess a loud sound with a more or less diluted dose of aggression, as evidenced by the company's list of players.
