The 40th Anniversary Telecaster Vintage Edition offers a number of classic features for the retro Squier enthusiast - whether the subtle faux-patina touches of chrome hardware and anodized pickguard, the anniversary engraving on the neck plate, or the all-satin finish on the body and neck.
The body of the guitar, in a classic Tele single-cut design, is made from nyatoh wood. Twenty-one Narrow Tall frets and black position dots divide the maple fingerboard surface. Two single-coil pickups with Alnico V magnets give the guitar a classic Tele sound and feel, the contours of which you adjust with the volume potentiometers, tone shutter and three-position pickup switch. The strings are anchored in the company's vintage-style tuning machines and through the bridge with three saddles through the body of the guitar.
Fender Squier electric guitars are not just a gateway into the world of Fender guitars. Above all, they're a great choice for musicians who demand the classic Fender sound and feel but don't want to, or can't yet, invest in more expensive originals.
