The FSR Redondo Classic Target Burst from the FSR (Fender Special Run) limited series is an electro-acoustic guitar with a solid dreadnought style body consisting of a Sitka spruce front and mahogany back and sides. Guitarists who prefer to play with a pick will especially appreciate the full, punchy sound of the instrument. A mahogany neck is attached to the body with a pleasingly narrow Slim C profile inspired by the neck design of Fender electric guitars. Twenty frets and maple position dots divide the pau ferro fingerboard surface. The instrument's resonant qualities are enhanced by optimized reduced ribbing (Scalloped X).
The Fender/Fishman preamp with two-band equalizer and built-in tuner is specially tuned for the shape of the guitar body (Redondo) to maximally honor and not distort the natural acoustic sound of the instrument. Stable tuning is guaranteed by the attachment of the strings through the bone zero and saddle frets in the company's sealed mechanics and the Modern Viking design headstock. The nice workmanship is accentuated by the Target Burst top color finish, maple perimeter binding, Hawaiian koa rosette and company logo on the headstock.
The guitar comes in a padded gig bag.
