Malibu guitars belong to the California series of the American brand Fender. These instruments are characterized by a combination of acoustic guitar features in the form of a bell-shaped body with a comfortable C-type neck profile and the headstock design of Stratocaster/Telecaster electric guitars.
The body of the FSR Malibu Player Shell Pink from the FSR (Fender Special Run) limited series consists of a solid Sitka spruce front and a mahogany ply back and sides. The Fender Malibu's more compact body and shorter gauge offer ideal playing characteristics for players with smaller fingers, while also challenging chords in normally unplayable fingerings. Attached to the body is a mahogany neck with a pleasingly narrower Slim C profile inspired by the design of Fender electric guitar necks.
