The sound is taken care of by a combination of Aguilar Super Double active pickups and a mid-focused OBP-2 preamp, so you can be sure that it will come through anywhere.
Spector's first instruments were built in 1976 in New York City. Specifically, it was a design from today's NS series, designed for the company by Ned Steinberger, which remains very popular with professional musicians around the world today virtually unchanged. The company's popularity grew significantly in the 1980s, especially with Sting and The Police, and today these basses are associated with names such as Bryan Beller (Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Dethklok), Guy Pratt (Madonna, Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson), Ian Hill (Judas Priest), Mike Kroeger (Nickelback) and many others. In the late 1980s, the production of instruments was partly moved to the Czech Republic, where the company still manufactures its Euro series. With Spector you can be sure that you will always get a truly top quality instrument in your hands.
