The beginning of the production of bass guitars at Jackson dates back to the first half of the 1980s. In addition to the now famous Kelly, King V and Dinky models, the Concert Bass also appeared. Essentially a simple instrument, it nevertheless has a straightforward seismic tone and a neck ideal for fast playing. Fans of these instruments include bassists from bands such as Hatebreed, Lamb of God and Megadeth.

The X Series is Jackson's mid-range instrument and is characterized by its high-quality materials, ultra-fast playability, great sound and affordable price. The Spectra models are designed especially for modern players who are not afraid to experiment. They have a stylish design, unsurpassed sound and a very wide sound spectrum.

The body of this novelty is made of nyatoh wood. The through-maple neck is then perfectly suited for fast playing. This is also matched by the 24-fret Jumbo fig fingerboard, which has a combined radius and flattens towards the body. White position dots on the fingerboard are used for orientation. The gauge of the instrument is 864 mm, the width of the zero fret is 38.1 mm.

The strings are anchored in a solid Jackson HiMass headstock, which naturally accentuates the attack and sustain of the tone. Die cast mechanics ensure reliable tuning. Sound pickups are handled by a pair of humbucker pickups with medium output signal and switchable active electronics, while the sound can be fine-tuned using the Blend potentiometer or the three-band equalizer. The coils of the pickups can be split using a mini switch, giving you a traditional single coil sound. This combination gives you a truly wide range of sonic possibilities with a unique character that won't get lost in any musical genre.
