The limited edition GT611e LTD electroacoustic guitar extends the Taylor line of instruments in the new GT (Grand Theater) body design, which is, in simpler terms, a smaller version of the Grand Orchestra/Jumbo guitars.
The guitar features a solid Sitka spruce front plate, while the back plate and sides are made from solid figured Big Leaf Maple. The figured maple is accentuated by a high gloss lacquer finish. The acoustic qualities of the guitar are elevated to a higher level by the new asymmetrical C-Class ribbing (modified V-Class optimized for this body shape).
The mahogany neck, attached to the body at the fourteenth fret, is glued to an ebony fingerboard embellished with decorative position markers made of mother-of-pearl and imitation mother-of-pearl. Precise tuning is guaranteed by the anchoring of the strings in the Taylor Mini's nickel mechanics. The instrument's impressive appearance is accentuated by a mother-of-pearl rosette (Paua), maple body binding complemented by black and koa lines, stained maple pickguard and ebony pegs to the fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dots.
The guitar is fitted with high quality company electronics. The Taylor Expression System 2 uses three specially designed independent piezo pickups located behind the headstock. Unlike conventional pickups, they do not sense the up and down movement of the board, but the natural back and forth vibration of the fingerboard. This makes the sound much more natural, colourful and pleasing, and more responsive to the dynamics of your playing. At the same time, the new preamp makes the signal 25% stronger. Of course, feedback is eliminated and you can adjust the volume, bass and treble.
The instrument comes in a soft case (Aerocase).
