The AAD50-LG acoustic guitar's soundboard is made from solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made from plywood sapele, a wood visually and botanically related to real mahogany. A purpleheart fingerboard with twenty frets is glued to the okoumé neck. The resonance of the top is supported by modified X-M ribbing, which optimally transmits the vibrations of the strings throughout the body. A deep body cutout (Advanced Access Cutaway) ensures good matching even at higher fretboard positions.
The strings are anchored via a plastic zero fret and saddle in chrome Die-Cast mechanisms with an 18:1 gear ratio and a purpleheart headstock. Ibanez Advantage pegs offer the advantages of easy handling and a solid string fit over standard models. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by traditional elements in the form of a rosette composed of black and white rings and a black pickguard.
