The Ibanez Artwood series offers Dreadnought guitars in both pure acoustic and electroacoustic versions. Their strengths are a solid soundboard and well selected materials, resulting in a very nice sound of the instrument, which together with the affordable price ensures Ibanez Artwood guitars high popularity among beginners and experienced musicians.
The body of this 12-string guitar with a cutaway is made of okoumé, with the soundboard being made of solid wood. Glued to the nyatoh wood neck is a figwood fingerboard fitted with twenty frets. Position dots make it easy to navigate the fingerboard surface. Strings are mounted in chrome Die-Cast mechanisms and ovangkol fingerboard. The zero fret and compensated saddle fret made of bone allow for precise intonation and reliable vibration transfer to the guitar body. Upgraded pegs in the headstock make it easy to install strings that stay in place at all times.
The true-to-life sound transmission is ensured by the company's proprietary sub-coil piezo pickup and Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp with a two-band equalizer and built-in tuner. The signal from the guitar can be output via a standard instrument cable (6.3 mm jack) or a balanced XLR output.
