ROLAND Octapad SPD-20 PRO

The original Octapad Roland fundamentally changed the look of electronic percussion. With its suitcase size, the Octapad offered drummers and percussionists the equivalent of an entire electronic kit in one box - a whole new level of convenience and utility. Today, decades later, a new chapter in Octapad history is beginning to be written. The new SPD-20PRO combines the world's most basic sound and traditional design with the latest triggering technology in a travel-friendly package, ready to satisfy even the most demanding users.

This model features over 900 percussion and sounds from around the world, which can be further customized with nearly forty types of multi-effects. The latest pad sensitivity technology developed for V-Drums offers unique and precise triggering with unprecedented pad-to-pad stripping. Four dual-trigger inputs plus a hi-hat controller for additional pads if you want to create a mini kit, or to receive trigger signals from acoustic drums.


Sound bank
Unlike the original Octapad PAD-8, which was a MIDI-only controller, the new Octapad SPD-20PRO is a controller that comes with its own internal sound bank. The SPD-20PRO offers one hundred drum kits (+100 custom) and over 900 basic sounds, covering a full range of musical styles.

You can edit the sounds with custom controllers for tuning, damping, soft onset, pitch slide and more. It's comparable to a whole truckload of programmable drum kits and percussion instruments, but in one portable case.

Multieffects
Roland is definitely among the world's best in effects technology, so you can be sure that the SPD-20PRO's multi-effects engine will take your playing to a whole new level. You'll find 38 types of internal multieffects, plus EQ, compressor and five types of Ambience.

Advanced trigger technology
The SPD-20PRO benefits from Roland V-Drum, the most advanced trigger technology available. Each pad is an independent, separate unit that offers exceptional sensitivity, with crosstalk issues completely resolved. In addition, you can plug in dual-trigger inputs plus a hi-hat controller (compatible with Roland FD-8, VH-11) to create a mini drum kit, with external pads (Roland KD/PD/PDX/CY series), or receive acoustic drum trigger signals, Roland RT series.
